Summary

We propose the creation of a V2_HBAR/STEAM pool with a 0.30% fee tier on SaucerSwap. This pool will enhance capital efficiency, increase TVL, and liquidity for both SaucerSwap and Hedera.

Abstract

The new V2_HBAR/STEAM pool will utilize SaucerSwap V2’s concentrated liquidity features, offering better returns for LPs, increased liquidity, and TVL.

Motivation

To deploy concentrated liquidity, increase both TVL and liquidity for HBAR/STEAM. In addition,this supports the growth of SaucerSwap and Hedera.

Benefits (Pros)

  • Price Supportive: It can help stabilize token prices.
  • Capital Efficient: Concentrated liquidity pools are more efficient in capital deployment.
  • Yield Opportunities: Increase yield opportunities for liquidity providers.
  • Minimal Slippage: Concentrated pools help to ensure minimal slippage and tighterspreads.

Downside (Cons)

  • Risks: Smart contract risk, increased complexity, management overhead, and potentialuser education challenges

Another downside is liquidity fragmentation. Hopefully split routing of swapping tokens would be available on SaucerSwap to minimize fragmentation issues.

Another is network risk, but that’s pretty much a given for any DApp on whatever network it’s on.

I do appreciate the mention of “management overhead”. Such issue was mention fairly recently in the previous AMA (August 10th, 2024), so I’m glad the Earthlings.land team is aware of it.

The only question I have is the decision to have the LP fee to be 0.30% as opposed to any of the other tiers.

P.S. given the previous proposals and votes results, I would suggested the team to go out in and chat about in many relevant servers, just to wake up some SAUCE holders into participating. With the fairly short proposal and then election windows, try to coordinate way in advance.

Just to clarify, will this v2 Steam pool be in addition to the existing v1 pool?

This can only benefit Saucerswap and help expand liquidity growth for one of the top game-fi projects on Hedera. I vote yes.

In support of this V2 pool — Earthlings has been in the Hedera ecosystem for quite some time, proven their dedication as a project, engaged well with the community, and the $steam asset is one of the more widely held assets with 26,436 accounts holding.

I support this. It would also be nice if Earthlings can incorporate in game swaps once the game goes live. Maybe a SaucerSwap “trading” hub inside the game would be cool.
